Woman indicted in Missouri MySpace suicide case By LINDA DEUTSCH AP Special Correspondent LOS ANGELES - A federal grand jury on Thursday indicted a Missouri woman for her alleged role in perpetrating a hoax on the online social network MySpace against a 13-year-old neighbor girl who then committed suicide. Lori Drew of suburban St. Louis was charged with one count of conspiracy and three counts of accessing protected computers without authorization to obtain information to inflict emotional distress on the girl. Drew allegedly helped create a MySpace account on false premises to contact Megan Meier, who thought she was chatting with a 16-year-old boy named Josh Evans, who turned out not to exist. Megan hanged herself at home in October 2006 after receiving cruel messages, including one stating the world would be better off without her. Drew has denied creating the account or sending messages to Megan. MySpace is based in Beverly Hills. The indictment noted that MySpace computer servers are located in Los Angeles County. Due to juvenile privacy rules, the U.S. attorney's office said, the indictment refers to the girl as M.T.M. Each count in the indictment carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison. Last month, an employee of Drew, 19-year-old Ashley Grills, told ABC's "Good Morning America" she created the false MySpace profile but Drew wrote some of the messages to Megan. Grills also claimed Drew suggested talking to Megan via the Internet to find out what Megan was saying about Drew's daughter, who was a former friend of Megan's. Grills said she wrote the message to Megan about the world being a better place without her, which was supposed to end the online relationship with "Josh" because Grills felt the joke had gone too far. "I was trying to get her angry so she would leave him alone and I could get rid of the whole MySpace," Grills told the morning show. Megan's death was investigated by Missouri authorities, but no state charges were filed.
My 20th reunion is this August. The wife got this joke in her email an thought she'd share. My wife and I were sitting at a table at my high school reunion, and I kept staring at a drunken woman swigging her drink, as she sat alone at a nearby table. My wife asks, "Do you know her?" "Yes," I sighed. "She's my old girlfriend. I understand she started drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she hasn't been sober since." "My God!" says my wife. "Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?" So you see, there really are two ways to look at everything!! LOL

A little update. Last week was the first practice for T-ball. It was mostly catching and some hitting no games. A couple more practices are left until the first game in June. This year there will be a couple of games during the day on a Monday. Why they scheduled a game when most parents are at work I don't understand. Still no word on soccer for Philip. He's signed up but there aren't enough people for teams so the season may be cancelled. | You Have A Type A+ Personality | You're driven to succeed every single second of the day And you don't let up on your goals, no matter how tired you are You've already achieved a lot in your life... but it's not enough for you

So it was one schooner with a 3 person crew sailing around the Marina and docking. There were some bag pipes and 4 wenches. Overall it wasn't much but it was a nice day to get out and see a boat and some of downtown. Getting ready to dock to boat. I told you there were bag pipes. Then someone said free beer samples. There was not a single ad for this event. Just the little notice in the paper and over 1000 people showed up. When they started serving the beer we walked around the marina and got some other oictures and saw the work on the new museum/display for the Erie Canal. Those pix will be in another blog. Replica tall ship here will deliver new beer A tall ship carrying mystery beer will weigh anchor Saturday at Erie Basin Marina. The 96-foot Challenge, a replica of an 1800s schooner, is scheduled to tie up at noon to promote the U. S. debut of a “new craft brew.” Bagpipers and drummers will play as deckhands and “wenches” in period dress unload barrels of the product for nationwide distribution. Kara Zale of Eric Mower Associates, representing the unidentified brewer, said Buffalo will get the first taste because of its nickname, City of Good Neighbors. The secret beer has “hospitable roots,” dating to a time when people gave kitchen parties featuring suds and lively music, Sale said. Fron the last time.... "So the new job starts Monday. The past 2 weeks have bben a mess. Days like today make me wonder why I stopped drinking. Today we transfered inventory from our vans to the new vans with the new company. This includes parts, tools and laptops. This became a huge nightmare as all the legal questions were answered and then changed. There was an open conference call running all day for all the questions. I never listened in but I heard that most of the day I was the focus of part of the call. That's what happens when you start early. After I was done half the stuff was changed. Either way I got done early. Tomorrow I drop off the van and MOnday I get picked up to get the new van. There was such a discussion on the legal over this. We can't be in one van since we aren't an employee. We can't be in the other van after 11:59 Sunday night. So there ends up being multiple trips back and forth. Monday the new jobs starts at the same place I've been for 9.5 years. For NOW nothing changes." So the new job started. Day one was to get the new van and organize parts. That was the whole day. I got some of the laptop set up but it turns out they were never told what software we needed so it was 2 days before we could get software to read MS Office. Everything we did for 10 years was office. We've had 4 conference calls this week. Everyday is a new issue. Back with ADT me and another tech were senior techs with extra responsibility. By Tuesday we doing the same thing for the new company. But we are still trying to figure out a lot and in some cases we get less money. The insurance isn't as great and will cost us more out of pocket. We have to front expenses then get our money back after. That will hurt in the short term. It's a whole new paperwork setip that doesn't work with the way CC does things. They've already reprogrammed the system twice snce Monday. They lost a bunch of techs with bad driving records so now some of the techs are doubling there work load. This will be a huge mess for the short term. Unfortunately, when summer hits it becomes project season and our workload triples anyway. This will be a horrible summer at work. I'm partially back to normal after the first week of work at the new job. So here is 1 update on what's going on around here. This week was picture day for the 8th graders. A special group picture was taken for some reason. I expect it will be in some kind of memory book or some such nonsense. Any way after the picture there was an 8th grade social where the kids got to hang out in the cafeteria.* It was a half day of school so they didn't have a lot of time there all dressed up. But they did have time to get pictures. This is Jimmy and Krystal. His ex. I know I never got that close to an ex.& Either way it's a nice picture her friend took for her. After the social the leaders in training group had an afternoon at Cheesie Charlie's.^ So in 6 weeks or so 8th grade is done for the oldest. * I almost put breakroom down. Weird how the name changes when you start working & Not that I'd want to ^ Family Guy reference Family 1 from Ohio - super strict and super clean. They must be out of bed by 6am and have 1 hour 18 minutes to complete the morning ; and the beds cannot have wrinkles. THEY HAVE 1 SPECiFIC WAY TO FOLD laundry. The 17 year old daughter runs the house while the moms socializes. They have daily schedules and meetings. They steam clean everything. The new mom would rather pee outside then in the dirty bathroom. The father is a jerk and does not allow the children to speak unless allowed by him. The kids also clean the car dealership he runs. This is another family that smells the kids again. The new mom breaks down and moves to a motel. Then she decides to come back. Family 2 from Michigan - - not clean and not strict. The dad is more of a kid then the 4 kids. Underware fights are the norm. Swearing is allowed. They use a rake to find things on the floor. They don't cook; they only have takeout. Instead of napkins they use the shirt the dad is wearing. The kids call the new mom a bitch and lie to the dad. The dad has a breakdown because touching moments aren't his thing. They went to buy fish for an aquarium; that was the touching moment. How old are you mentally? You're a teenager! You try to live it up every moment you can.
