It's time for Friday Five. I know that I am posting early but I want to give enough time for those that want to participate in Friday Five time to be able to post your blog. I want to thank all those  who participate in friday Five  including the administrators for allowing me to be apart of this group. As some or most of you know May is a time of graduation. Weather it is Elementary school or High School or College. My Son is Graduating from 8th Grade on May 15. I can't believe he is about to be a Freshman in High School. For this week I want you to name Five memorable Moments in High School. Click here to see my  answers for the Most Memorable Moments of High School.

High School wasn't that memerable but here's my Friday 5 of my 5 most memorable moments in high school.  I don't have the same style memories I've seen on some of the other Friday 5's.  I'm sure I'll scare a few people away with some of these answers.

1.  One reason high school wasn't memerable is because I was drunk.  So I quess all those times hanging out in the attic would be the first memory.

These a quiz once asking about street signs.

2.  Senior year late '87 (read some recent blogs and you will see that this time has been mentioned before); sorry I can't say because "it never happened".

3.  Several weeks before #2 didn't happened was an interesting day.  These 2 girls came over and decided to wrestle on my living room floor for me.  I have no idea why they did this and I was not about to ask them.

4.  Freshmen or Sophmore year; the Social Studies teacher would hand out worksheets on Monday and we'd have until Friday to do them in class.  We were allowed to work on them anyway we wanted.  Ron always bugged me for answers.  One day we were given a difficult sheet and Ron bugged me for answers too many times.  I told him to back off.  He kept tapping me on the shoulder.  I kept telling him to stop.  He tapped one time too many.  Without turning to look at him or stopping what I was reading I shot out my fist.  I tuned to look and he was on the floor against the wall.  His glasses were stuck to my fist untill I twitched my fingers.  The teacher told him to knock it off because he deserved it.

5.  Going to see the WWF (now WWE) was always good for a memory.

We are in the midst of the holiday season . . . and although the Christmas holiday and the legacy of Santa Claus have been the featured holiday, the Friday Five understands there are many other holidays celebrated around this time of year. There was no intention to omit any holiday or group from participating . . . many apologies.

Using Christmas only as an example of whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year . . . as a bonus to the five questions, talk about your holiday traditions, what they mean to you . . . whatever special memories you would like to share.

What are your five favorite Christmas songs or movies?

1. Charlie Brown Christmas

2. A Year Without A Santa

3. Santa Claus is Coming to Town

4. Scrouge  - The version with Albert Finney.  The ghost of Christmas Present sings really cool in that one

5. All of the Die Hard movies - Yes they are Christmas movies - watch them and see.

Traditions - Other then the arguments over spending too much on everyone and going to the inlaws we don't have a lot or tradtions.

Santa has made his list, wrapping the gifts and packing the sled . . . we are in the midst of the mad seasonal rush to buy the perfect gift.

What gift have you given that was the most . . .

2. Life Changing - hmmm they never did that

3. Difficult - Anything I give the wife.

First an announcement: it would appear The Friday Five is gone. I've received no notifications from Yahoo and yes I have a request in to them. I figure either 1) it was hacked and deleted (if you knew my password scheme you'd understand when I say highly unlikely and besides that why?) or 2) Yahoo simply lost it (I had had major difficulties accessing that page from that ID for the last 3 weeks or so) or 3) Yahoo deleted the page (and the subsequent ID) for a TOS violation that they've not informed me of. Either way I can't fix it. btw - the entire ID is gone.

Having said that, I guess I"ll try running The Friday Five from my page from now on. I was to that point anyway (at least temporarily) because The Friday Five page was becoming increasingly unusable. Now I guess it's a permanent fix because I'm not creating another page.

So without further ado The Friday Five for October 5, 2007:

1) If you were an animal, what animal would you be?

A tiger, I like the big felines but not lions. Not sure why about the lions.

2) Name a favorite flavor.

Chocolate.

3) Scary movies, scary books or neither?

Now; nwither, as a teen it was a scary movie with beer and pizza every Friday night after mom went to the bar.

4) Do you have any piercings and/or tattoos? what and where?

none and will never get either

5) Do you think Yahoo 360 has a future? if not what are your suggestions for replacing it?

I hope it does; I like it here.

Well, until Yahoo straightens out, this will probably be self-guided. Feel free to post your links HERE (now open back to Friends of Friends) and visit other Friday Fivers. Also please pass the word around that it's over here unless The Friday Five miraculously rematerializes (highly unlikely).

Have Fun and Let's PLAY !!

After the last week with Yahoo, I think we all know what our *least* favorite things are.

Now how about some of our favorite things:

1. Name one movie you think everyone should see. Clerks - see how retail is from the clerks point of view!

2. Name one song you think everyone should hear. Pain by Three Days Grace - love that song.

3. Name one place you think everyone should see. Their own hometown the way a tourist would see it.

4. Name one book you think everyone should read. Anything by Mercedes Lackey!!!!

5. Name one thing you think everyone should experience. Wow that's a loaded question!!!!!! How about true love.

--remember these are opinions and as such are very subjective. I know it's hard but you can just pick one - honest. If you want to explain *why* that would be great as well.

If you would like to participate copy the questions and your answers in your blog, leave a comment on The Friday Five with the link to your blog and I'll put the link to your answers on the blog. Fun, easy, and no time limit.

How about a little light introspection ala Jenna this Friday? These were some fun questions !

1. Are you an optimist or a pessimist? An introvert or an extrovert? Mostly a pessimist. I can be both intro and extroverted. I'm stange that way.

2. Are you a morning person/forced morning person/caffiene only morning person/nothing-good-about-mornings person (aka night owl) or can you work/sleep anytime? It's 5:16 when I right this and I don't drink coffee

3. Do you have a rigid routine for your day or are you more of a go-with-the-flow kind of person? I try to follow a routine but it's not possible with work sometimes.

4. What kind of political stand do you take? (Conservative, liberal, other or none) A liberal conservative. I think people should be allowed to more freedoms, I just don't particularly want to do those things that people should be allowed to do.

5. What really sets your blood boiling? Grab your soapbox and elaborate ..... Back stabbers!!!!! If you've read my story you know what I mean.

and we're BAAACK !!!!

Today's Friday Five topic is courtesy of Trishy Trish. Just think of all the different answers and possibilities

Inventions:

1. What do you consider to be the greatest invention of all time? The wheel, because you couldn't have cars or gears without it.

2. What invention could you not get through the day without? The PC

3. Have you ever invented something (or thought about inventing something)? If so what? I've thought about inventing many things. Then 6 months later I see it in a store.

4. What invention do you think society would've been better off without? Why? Cars are made for driving and sex not talking on the phone. The cell phone needs to go away. Really there are othere thing a female passenger could do besides talk while the guy drives.

5. What type of inventions do you think the future generations will contribute? Greener products and greener fuel sources.

these questions were inspired by Jade - thanks dear !

A Musical Friday Five:

1) Do you listen to music? If so which kind(s) do you listen to most frequently? Alternative and Rock, anything 80's,

2) Is the radio on or off in the car when you drive? (if you don't drive, do you listen to an IPOD etc when you travel?) ON, very high.

3) List 5 of your favorite songs:

Tough one. Not sure I have a top 5; but "In Your Eyes" is a good song, "Pepper" by Butthole Surfers, "I wanna Be Sedated" by the Ramones, "I've Been to Paradise" by Charlene (terrible song, onld joke I still laugh about cause I have issues), "Get Stoned" by Hinder. That covers a wide spectrum.

4) Do you sing or play a musical instrument? If so which one(s)? NO!, I wanted to play guitar when I was a kid but my mom has issues.

5) Jade would like to know what you would name your band if you had one. Why? Trainwreck - no idea why it came to me when I read the question.

If you would like to participate copy the questions and your answers in your blog, leave a comment on here on The Friday Five with the link to your blog (or if you need help just comment here and I'll find your link for you) and I'll put the link to your answers on the blog.
