A little update. Last week was the first practice for T-ball. It was mostly catching and some hitting no games. A couple more practices are left until the first game in June. This year there will be a couple of games during the day on a Monday. Why they scheduled a game when most parents are at work I don't understand. Still no word on soccer for Philip. He's signed up but there aren't enough people for teams so the season may be cancelled.

Flyers LW Patrick Thoresen taken to hospital after being hit in groin by Green's shot Associated Press Apr 11, 2008, 11:13 PM EDT WASHINGTON (AP) -Flyers left wing Patrick Thoresen was taken to the hospital for tests after getting hit in the groin by a shot during Philadelphia's 5-4 loss to Washington on Friday night. "He's going to the hospital to get an ultrasound done on his testicles. It's bad enough they may have to remove one," Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said. "Right now, we're not sure how serious it is, but there's a chance he may need surgery." Thoresen blocked Mike Green's shot with about 6 1/2 minutes left in the game, then dropped to the ice, writhing in pain. Moments later, Washington scored to tie the game 4-4. "Obviously, I'd have liked to see a whistle," Flyers coach John Stevens said. Thoresen was helped off the ice and taken to the locker room.

Buffalo Sabres Trade Brian Campbell Click here to add your comments on this story! Created: 2/26/2008 11:16:58 AM Updated: 2/26/2008 3:43:17 PM The Buffalo Sabres traded Brian Campbell and a seventh round pick just before noon on Tuesday to the San Jose Sharks for forward Steve Bernier and a first round pick next year. Bernier plays right wing and was a 2003 first round pick by the Sharks. He has 13 goals and 10 assist this season, he will be a restricted free agent at the end of the year. Campbell will become an unrestricted free agent this off-season and recently rejected a three year offer from the Sabres for less than $6-million per season. After the trade, Campbell told reporters he found the length of the Sabres' offer unacceptable. He says he wanted to stay in Buffalo, but says it's time to move on. For those that don't follow sports: there were 2 deadly sports accidents in Buffalo within the past year. Kevin Everett broke his neck in a Bills game. Richard Zednik had his throat cut in a Sabres game. Both on the verge of death now both are almost back to normal.

Ralph Wilson Stadium (which correctly should be called Rich Stadium), the home of the Buffalo Bills will host an out door hockey game on January 1st. It will be the Sabres against the Penguins on the ice out side in the snow.

Sure the Sabres get rid of the guy and this is what happens. From NHL.com The Philadelphia Flyers are back on top of the Atlantic Division, and goaltender Martin Biron is a big reason why. The Flyers landed Biron from Buffalo last February after deciding that they needed an upgrade in goal. He played well on a bad team during the final weeks of the season, and has been superb this season, helping the Flyers win four of their first five games to take the top spot in their division. Biron has played every minute in the Flyers’ five games, allowing just nine goals. He’s been even better in the past week, winning all three of his starts while allowing just three goals – including Tuesday night’s 4-0 shutout of the Atlanta Thrashers. That 31-save effort was his first shutout as a Flyer. He’s stopped 60 of the last 61 shots he’s faced, a big reason that the Flyers have rebounded after the worst season in franchise history.
