Blog EntryMovies I hate???? while sober.Jun 12, '08 8:09 PM
for everyone

I can't stand any teen sex comedy.  The Porky's movies from the 80's or the American Pie movies of today all sicken me.  A bunch of jocks teaching nerds to get laid is just a dumb set of movies.  I liked the John Hughs type teen movies and Heathers and Breakfast Club; they were about more then sex.

I also avoid any movie with Tom Hanks.  I just can't take him seriously after Harry Met Sally.

Now for what has to be the worst movie ever made.  I love this movie.  The first time I saw it s 22 years ago but I still remember it.  Only alcohol could make this movie worth seeing.

Melvin is a pathetic loser of a motorcycle cop who gets demoted to working the night shift as a punishment for his constant screw-ups. During his off-duty time, however, Melvin turns to his secret obsession: comedy. He puts a paper bag over his head and performs in front of audiences as "The Unknown Comic". Unable to balance his two lives, he seeks psychiatric help to try and resolve who he really wants to be. Written by Jean-Marc Rocher {rocher@fiberbit.net}

Blog EntrySong SaturdayApr 4, '08 10:10 PM
for everyone

This will be part one of three Song Saturday blogs. Both parts will be about love in music. This week will be power ballads by rock artists. I noticed that many rock bands get very emotional over finding a true love or getting back the one they lost. Even if the girl cheated it’s ok; they’ll take them back. No matter how much the singer was hurt the girl can always come back; he will find a way to save her from herself. After all the heartbreak she may have caused there are still feelings. I wonder about why in love songs men feel hopeless with out someone at their side.

These songs are missing that one part of reality. After a while you get fed up and dump the cheater. Eventually, (or if you’re lucky 3 months later) you find someone that doesn’t treat you like dirt and you wake up and see how good life can be. That will be part 3.

Part two will be my observations of women’s love songs. Part three will wrap up the whole thing.
